MedSynergies Chooses the IBM P570 System to Support Billing and Revenue Management Software
DALLAS – December 28, 2005 – MedSynergies purchased IBM P570 to support the current IDX Groupcast software that currently assists with billing and revenue cycle management for MedSynergies’ clients. MedSynergies selected the P570 system that is manufactured by IBM and sold by CIMA.
“We selected the P570 in lieu of smaller servers because of its fault redundancy and virtual machine architecture. It will allow us to solve some of our open server issues while improving performance and security,” said Dan Henderson, Vice President of MedSynergies’ IT Services.
The IBM P570 system not only offers added security and performance, but also provides flexible expansion architecture, utilization of a Storage Access Network, high-performance multiprocessor distributed computing, virtual machines for optimal system utilization, and cost per practice computational resources.
IBM’s P570 system has allowed them to penetrate the healthcare industry, which is a new industry for IBM. The IBM P570 system assists information technology professionals within healthcare institutions with managing costs, improving IT staff productivity, and enabling new business imperatives, such as clinical information systems, consumer-directed health plans, and globalization, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates.
MedSynergies has installed the P570 system and has been running configuration tests on it for the past few weeks. A demo database has been loaded to the IDX Groupcast system which will allow Client Service Representatives to run their tests as well. A complete transition to the IBM P570 system will be complete January 2006.
