MedSynergies Celebrates Healthcare Innovation at 2nd Annual Symposium Tackling Vital Issues with Industry Leaders
Symposium brings together healthcare leaders from coast to coast to discuss pressing issues and practice improvements, ultimately enhancing patient care
DALLAS – October 24, 2007 – MedSynergies Inc., a leading provider of healthcare revenue cycle services and technology including advanced analytics and reporting platforms, hosted a three-day symposium in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 21-23 for healthcare executives, physicians and practice administrators as a platform to discuss critical issues to the advancement and success of hospital-based physician practices and independent physician groups.
The symposium, titled “Solutions in Healthcare,” offered various educational sessions from pay for performance and electronic medical records to industry trends and best practices. The sessions were led by healthcare leaders such as David W. Parke II, M.D., president and CEO of the Dean Eye McGee Eye Institute, and Benjamin Isgur, assistant director of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Health Research Institute.
“The topics were well-chosen and relevant to the healthcare and technology issues my practice is dealing with right now,” said Jennifer Daffin, practice administrator for Cornea Associates of Texas. “The symposium also provided the opportunity to interact with other healthcare leaders and organizations, enabling us to learn what challenges they are facing and share solutions.”
The 2007 symposium hosted 60 healthcare leaders from physician practices and hospital groups across the country in specialties ranging from orthopedics and physical rehabilitation to cardiology and obstetrics/gynecology. This year’s attendance doubled the participation of the 2006 event.
“With healthcare executives traveling from both coasts, it exemplifies how important it is to provide a forum to discuss the issues they are currently facing and look to the future to properly prepare for what’s ahead,” said John R. Thomas, president and CEO of MedSynergies. “By hosting this symposium, MedSynergies hopes to offer, not only revenue cycle management services to our customers, but also show our commitment to the advancement of ideas in healthcare for all practitioners.”
In preparation for the 2008 symposium, MedSynergies is currently developing its focus, content and speaker line-up, building upon this year’s event to further increase healthcare industry attendees working towards implementing quality solutions in healthcare.
“I want MedSynergies to continue hosting this event each year because it is very useful to my practice,” said John Dickins, M.D., CEO of Arkansas Otolaryngology Center. “The event was so well-run, informative and educational that I’m recommending my partners join me in participating at next year’s event.”
