John Payne Joins MedSynergies as CIO to Manage New Unbundled Service Offering for Revenue Cycle Management
Healthcare technology veteran will direct new offering to enhance efficiency for existing RCM programs
DALLAS – September 13, 2007 – MedSynergies Inc., a leading provider of healthcare revenue cycle services and technology including advanced analytics and reporting platforms, has hired healthcare technology veteran John Payne as chief information officer (CIO) to manage delivery of its new unbundled service offering for revenue cycle management (RCM).
The unbundled approach offers discreet segments of its complete RCM solution that enhance existing solutions to meet the unique needs of physician, hospital and other healthcare organizations more flexibly and quickly.
“After selling RCM services for 11 years, MedSynergies realized that the elements of our RCM are valuable to healthcare organizations looking to enhance their existing financial management systems,” said Frank Marshall, COO of MedSynergies. “Adding John Payne to our team in a new CIO position enables the company to focus on driving this initiative and developing integrated operations and services that help healthcare organizations run their current RCM more efficiently.”
With more than 22 years of experience in the healthcare, insurance and software sectors, Payne will be responsible for the strategic direction of unbundled services, the development and production of integrating technologies and the engineering of new RCM software.
“MedSynergies’ vision for unbundled services will move us in the right direction to reach new customers and remain competitive by maximizing value and flexibility in a complex and evolving healthcare environment,” said Payne. “I’m excited to join the dynamic MedSynergies team and lead the delivery of a service that will be beneficial for healthcare organizations and for the quality of patient care.”
Prior to joining MedSynergies, Payne served at Perot Systems as senior technology and operations executive and at Ernst & Young as senior manager in Critical Technologies.
