MedSynergies and Systemware Join to Provide State-of-the-Art Revenue Cycle Management Solutions to Hospitals
Combined offering delivers enhanced capabilities to further streamline billing processes and accelerate cash flow
ADDISON, TX – March 1, 2007 – Systemware, Inc., a leading document and content management company, today announced an agreement with MedSynergies, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare revenue cycle services and technology that includes advanced analytics and reporting platforms. As part of the agreement, MedSynergies will deploy Systemware’s Centraspect HC Patient Financial Record solution to streamline clients’ billing processes and accelerate cash flow. MedSynergies’ commitment to provide best-in-class technology, combined with processes that continue to re-define the landscape for best practices, will provide significant financial results for its clients.
Introduced in October 2006, Systemware’s Centraspect HC Patient Financial Record supports revenue cycle management by managing claims remittance and secondary claims processing. The solution integrates with existing claims and a billing system to provide a 360 degree view of each patient’s financial interactions.
Systemware’s Centraspect HC Patient Financial Record captures billing, claim and payment information and delivers it in a single, unified view to support hospitals’ efforts in expediting the billing cycle. Coupled with MedSynergies’ expertise in revenue cycle management and Centraspect HC’s scaleable repository, powerful indexing and search functionality, this solution captures all documents, content and data related to remittance – including both paper and electronic explanation of benefits (EOBs) and electronic remittance advice (ERAs) and provides a logical view of all patient information organized in a universal patient chart.
“MedSynergies chose Systemware’s solution because of its proven track record for providing customized solutions and greater accuracy and speed in reporting than alternative solutions,” said John R. Thomas, president and chief executive officer, MedSynergies. “With Systemware’s Centraspect HC solution, we are confident that our clients will achieve the best financial results.”
Systemware’s Centraspect HC sits beside (and does not replace) the claims and billing system. With Centraspect HC, MedSynergies’ clients can easily integrate with their current claims and billing system and gain a complete and accurate view of current and outstanding claims for each patient.
“We are delighted to be chosen by MedSynergies to help them further enhance their portfolio of revenue cycle management solutions,” said Dan Basso, chief executive officer and president, Systemware. “Our revenue cycle technology is leading edge and we look forward to working closely with MedSynergies to ensure its clients achieve their revenue cycle goals.”
Centraspect HC Patient Financial Record speeds the capture of EOB and remittance data by automating many current manual steps, allowing client accounting staff to operate more efficiently. More payments can be straight through processed and secondary claims can be generated more quickly, reducing accounts receivable days outstanding.
